Our trip to the Dome was a success. It was uncrowded and entertaining. Too bad they lost the battle of the press.

Now October is ready. I'm using a new FTP program called WebDrive from Riverfront Software. It lets you mount an FTP site just like a drive under WinME. You can then open folders on the remote site and treat them like any other folder. And if you set it up correctly, it will convert the file names to lower case; which is what October needed.

Sorry. The October slide show is not quite ready for prime time, due to file name case changes. I'm already late for work.

BBC England has all of its webcams on a nice map page for a quick look around the country. Unfortunately, you have to get Scotland on its own page.
I have to admit that we bought TiVo ten days ago. We time-shift TV constantly, and being able to do it with far less hassle is pleasant. It's also a cool toy. Not without its hangups, which are mostly related to translating an American idea to the UK, but I would expect them to be ironed out sooner or later.
